I think this is the aerial cable!

What type aerial cable AM or FM or other??
What is the difference to 1 or 2 ariel cable ???

it could be a navigation cable or a cd- Changer cable?!

I think is right ariel cable but i don't know if is for AM or FM.

Comostreet möchte sein BMW Radio wechseln, weis aber nicht wofür der auf den Bildern gezeigte Anschluss ist, leider konnte auch Ich ihm nicht helfen!
Wenn es jemand wissen sollte, schreibt einfach. Ich werde es dann versuchen zu übersetzen.

This is no FM/AM-Interface, which you can normally find at the left side of the radio. The small interface you mentioned is the input for external MP3-Player input cables. BMW built this construction since 9/2002.

I think This ariel Diversity serving to amplify the signal of ariel.

bin Australier, wohne momentan in der Schweiz. Ich habe das gleiche problem. Habe mein Philips BMW Business Tape
player ausgewechselt mit ein Alpine BMW Business CD player. Problem ist dass die neue CD player hat zwei kleine 10 pin
stecker (alte nur eine) und das alte hat diese kleine (antenne oder verstaerker) stecker und das CD player nicht. Weiss
jemandem 1. was das kleine (goldige antenne) stecker ist und 2. ob man ein adapter stecker kaufen kann. Die neue CD
player hat 2 x 10 pin stecker unter der grosse 17 pin stecker. Die linke brauche ich, die rechte im moment nicht.
Kann immernoch FM emphangen aber nicht mehr
so stark wie vorher. Any ideas??

Ich muß sagen das Forum enttäuscht mich immer wieder. Gibt es niemanden hier der schon einmal an seinem Wagen gebastelt hat?

Ich bin kein Experte. Aber selbst ich weiß daß das ein OG (Old Generation)-Radio ist und die kleine Buchse der "Antennen-Diversity" Anschluss ist.
Die große Buchse ist für das Standard Antennen-Signal.

Die NG-Radios haben das Antennen und Antennen-Diversity Signal auf eine Leitung zusammengefasst. Da gibts die zweite kleine Buchse nicht mehr, seit ca. 09/2001
Das gleiche gilt natürlich auch für mikes328 Bild. OG-Radios in der Front, sowie OG-Bordmonitorradios (für alle die nicht wissen was das ist:das sitzt im Kofferraum bei Navi-Prof.) haben runde PINS. Bei NG-Radios sind sie eckig.

Hallo d7h2e,

doch, doch gebastelt schon, aber nicht mit dem OG Radio. War mir deswegen auch nicht ganz sicher, obwohl man es anhand der Buchsen (SMB, ISO) schon hätte erkennen können.
