moin, bei mir steht seit ein "paar" kilometern der ölwechsel an. bei ATU gibt es gerade eine aktion 25€ für ölwechsel incl. Öl (10W-40) UND Filter.
schnell mal hier gesachaut und gelesen,dass immer mehr das 5W40 empfohlen wird im forum.
auto ist ein 318i mit 116ps 115tkm auf der uhr und ich fahre im jahr vielleicht 10tkm davon viel stadt aber alle 2 monate auch mal ein paar hundert auf der AB
ist das öl jetzt "sooo" viel schlechter? oder schon in ordnung, wenn ich nicht das allerbeste haben muss?

soooo schlecht ist das auch nicht, man sollte sich die freigaben / daten mal genauer anschauen davon ist aber nichts bekannt. für deinen motor reicht 10w40 vollkommen aus |

Für nen Rasenmäher würde ich es gerade nehmen. Aber für einen BMW ??
Such schonmal nach nem Austauschmotor in 1-2Jahren. |

Ich würde 10W40 verwenden. BMW benutzt standartmäßig 5W30, 0W40 ,10W40 und für M-Fahrzeuge 10W60
Also mit 10W40 biste auf der sicheren Seite was anderes würde ich nicht fahren. |

Ich glaube du hast 118PS.
Und beim M43 kann man ohne Bedenken ein 10W40 reinkippen.
Ansonsten schau mal nach was du jetzt drin hast, ist immer besser man bleibt dabei. |

ATU wirbt mit Öl was die Herstellerfreigabe besitzen muss für das jeweilige Modell.
Aber da hast du schon recht. Ansonsten einfach in die Bedienungsanleitung schauen, da steht alles wissenswerte drin. |

Die Antworten gehen hier in die völlig falsche Richtung.
Es gibt keine MASTERviskosität für dein Auto. Man sollte sein Motorenöl natürlich auch nach seinem Motor wählen, aber genauso wichtig ich das Fahrprofil und der Fahrstil.
Mal ein Beispiel: Bei viel Kurzstrecke würde ich nicht zu einem 0w30 greifen, da sich durch Kurzstreckenfahrten der Kraftstoffanteil im Öl erhöht, sprich du setzt es herab (z.B. auf 0w20). Einmal dann richtig beansprucht und die Molekülketten reißen und die Chance auf einen Kolbenfresser wächst.
Wenn du jetzt bei 10w40 bist, sollte dein Fahrstil eher behutsam sein bei kaltem Motor, denn die "Kaltlaufviskosität" ist hier etwas zäher, sprich das Öl braucht etwas länger bis es sich gut verteilt hat.
Bei 25Euro für Öl, Tausch und Filter kannst du davon ausgehen, dass das ein Billig-Mineralöl ist. Es gibt sicherlich auch ansprechende Mineralöle (entsprechender Additivzusatz), aber bei dem Preis bestimmt nicht.
Sollte dein Auto sein Öl sonst von BMW bekommen haben, dann bleibe bei der Qualität und kauf dir ein Vollsynthetiköl. Die müssen auch garnicht so teuer sein...ich fahre das vollsynthtische Mobil 1 New Life (0W40 - LL01) und da kosten die 5l unter 40€.

das kannste auch ruhig weiter fahren das 10w40!
habe in meinem seit über 50tkm 10w40 von ATU gefahren und da passiert garnix!
hab ihn viel auf der autobahn bewegt, auch mal ne härtere gangart an den tag geleget und der kleine lief immer top!
bin aber seit kurzem umgestiegen auf 5w40, trotzdem kann man ohne bedenken das 10w40 fahren;) |

Was soll man sonst dazu schreiben bezogen auf die erste Antwort. Nimm das Oel was du drin hast wenn er gut damit lauft ich denke du 5W40 drin hast kannst aber auch ohne bedenken 10W40 reinkippen. Nur dann würde ich die Intervalle etwas kürzen. |

wenn man keine ahnung hat dann bitte nicht einen auf schlau machen..... 10w-40 von liqui moly ist das beste öl was du in einen e36 reinkippen kannst! vom preisleistungs verhältnis |
