Hi!

My deutch is so bad that i need to write in this forum.

I have e91 318d from 2008 one month befor LCI 143ps.

My problem is that the engine is louder when it is warm, than when i start if after a night. Cold engine is quite quiete barely noticible it is a diesel motor, doesn't matter inside or outside, it is quuiete.
But when i drive for a few kilos und motor gets warm car engine starts to rattle like a golf diesel. I can hear the diesel motor form inside and outside is really lioud for a beemer diesel.

I was at service in BMW Gorlitz, but they say that " this is normal for this engine" and my friend have same car as my and it is a lot more quieter!!

Socond problem is vibration.. car and gearbox vibrates on stand still and when i'm driving';/

Anybody can help me with this problem??

Hi...

I am not too familiar with Diesels... but my first guess is the cold start regulator.

Then the oil.

Then other gaskets...

I will ask around, my German isnt so hot either...

thanks for the answer, bit i was on computer in Goerlitz Bruder-hubatsch , and there were not mistakes on computer... They say that everything is ok, only they setup me new engine map, and new computer soft and thats it;/ Nothing change except my car i slower now O_O

the computer made your car louder?

there is another way to put it.. Something that the computer controls.. yes. But not the computer..

Did they check the map first or just did an overlay?
I ask because whatever the true source is.. It might help someone else in the future.

They check computer and map, and install me a new one. Car is not louder after remap just i can feel a little slower that before, but it consumes a lot less fuel;) From Goerlitz to Jelenia Gora in Poland, 60 km average fuel consumption was 4,9l/100km and it wasn't slow driving;)

Now after 2000km after remap averge consumption ( 70% city and 30% normaln out city like Highway freeway and normal roads) is abotu 6,2l/100km and im driving quite fast and agressive so im happy with consumption...

Hi.

In my opinion, with the new software, they adjusted and and calibrated the injectors too. With the E39 diesel we had some problems 5 years ago.
