Here is some information regarding my current e36 323ti edition individual, 1999 model. We bought this car in 2008 when the old one got totaled. It had 73.000km on the clock. I imported it from Germany in September 2008, and maybe some of you recognize it. I guess there is not too many 323ti's in British Racing Green!

Bias:
The bias, using AP Racing w. 330x28mm discs up front, is slightly moved rearwards. Stock bias is 66.59% and my configuration ends on 64.68%.
Weight:
My vented rear configuration is 1kg heavier pr. wheel than the stock configuration. That is 2 kg in addition on the rear axle. Compared to the replaced e34 m5 rear caliper previously used, the new rear configuration is 600g heavier pr. wheel...
The front BBK is 2.9kg pr. wheel lighter than the stock 323ti brakes.
Comparing my BBK with stock shows that in total my custom BBK is 3.8kg lighter than the stock 323ti configuration.
Stopping distance:
Theoretically the stopping distance is 37.2m. The result from my road test runs show a stopping distance of 37.28m in average (100-0km/h). The best was 36.59m and the worst was 37.64m. Peak g was 1.1 m^2/sec.
The experience from track days is that the brakes, so far, is functioning very well on the track, using PFC01 pads and Toyo Proxes R888 tires.
Miscellaneous:
Discovered that there exist a brake upgrade option for the TVR Cerbera using the same AP Racing calipers front and rear as in my kit. The rumor is that AP was involved in that development. The Cerbera's has between 355 and 426hp, weighing between 1100 and 1200kg...
UPDATE: Interior modification
About to install Recaro Sportster CS (leather trim) with Macht Schnell floor mounts and receptacles. Driver side installed. Left to install the passenger seat. After installation the weight saving is 15kg in total...

I believed the offset between the center of the seat and steering wheel was like the original, but the feeling was not where it should be. Measurements and later calculations shows that, in an e36, the Macht Schnell floor mounts combined with the Recaro Sportster CS offsets the seat approx. 30mm (calculated to 32mm) to the left compared to the original seats.
I am not comfortable with the offset, and have ordered original Recaro base frame to be used with the seats. The Recaro base frame is a bit heavier (approx. 2kg) than the Macht Schnell combination and the seating position will be a bit higher (but still lower than the BMW sport seats).
The good things are that it puts the seat in the original position sidewise and that the OEM seat belt receptacles can be used.
My learning is that the e36 originally is built with an offset between the steering wheel and seat, and fitting aftermarket seats is a challenge when it comes to aligning seat and steering wheel. Even to get it to original alignment seems to be a challenge...
On the net there are several posts (however hard to find if new into the topic) on this issue using similar mounts as the Macht Schnell floor mounts, e.g. VAC floor mounts. I have seen some post where the inner VAC floormount is turned 180 degrees and modified to be able to put a seat even further to the right approx 15-20mm). However, this only puts the seat close to the stock alignment, and not aligned to the steering wheel...

Update:
Installed the Recaro baseframe, which was an easy operation. The Recaro baseframe positions the seat close to stock alignment regarding the centre of the steering wheel (but still a bit more offset than stock). The sitting height is, to my dissapointment, not lower than the stock sport seat in lower position, and approx. 30-40mm higher than with the Macht Schnell hardware.
However, I do really love the Recaro Sportster CS. They give the feeling like I am "dressing my car on" like it should have been a tight jacket. They are the best seats I've ever had.
Realised that the BRG Compact is too good to be used during the winter. Decided to store it inside during the cold, wet and "salty" times.
Re-installed the original seats and have new plans for the Recaro CS...
