Autor: el_bibiq Datum: 28.03.2008 Antwort: ---------------------------------------------------------- danke für die Antwort.yep, es gibt 2 Philips Schrauben vorne und 2 Plastik Scrauen hinten und auch eine Schraube nahe bei dem Wagenheberplatz vorne. trotzdem denke ich, dass der Schweller nur an diese befestigt ist, es wäre zu einfach aber ich kann auch falsch sein. im ETK sieht man bestens, wie die 2 Clips verbindet sind. die Teilenummer sind 2 239 734 und 1 938 940 aber wie man diese trennen kann, weiß ich nicht. eine Ausbauprozedur wäre schön :) danke nochmal Zitat: 1 + 1= 10 |

Autor: el_bibiq Datum: 28.03.2008 Antwort: ---------------------------------------------------------- all right, maybe my German is not very evolved as of now, sorry. what I meant was that the former owner managed to drop the car off the jack so the sill's edge got bent in heavily right in the region where the front left jacking point is. in order to straighten that I need good access to the sill and that means removing the sill's bodykit plastic part. I noticed there are 2 metal screws in the front, 2 plastic, expanding ones in the back and another one close to the front jacking place but I don't think removing them means removing the whole sill bodykit or does it? from this "einmal seitlich höhe einstig und einige cipse unten am falz" I understand that there are few clips under the car, and I was referring exactly to these but I am not sure I get it where the other ones are located. maybe you know a link on the net where the right removal steps are presented? the clips are cheap to buy from BMW so cutting them off can be a solution but I'd really like to keep it nice and clean... thanks! ps I do hope you read English otherwise I have to put everything in German and you noticed mine is a bit rusty... Autor: CompactO Datum: 28.03.2008 Antwort: ---------------------------------------------------------- the gap is just mounted with the clips on the groundside, front and back are metal and plastik scews on the front and rear edge of the sideplank. if you cant remove the 2stick in clips, nevermind. they´re gonna crack anyways cause they´re got in the years and plastik won´t get better after rain-sun-rain... go to your local dealer and get a set of clips. they´re cheap. the mount itself won´t crack only the clips. Autor: el_bibiq Datum: 28.03.2008 Antwort: ---------------------------------------------------------- thanks for the answer! should I understand that unscrewing all those screws (should be funny doing that for the plastic ones that expand in place) means I can take off the sill cover? in other words, should I even bother un-clipsing those idiotic clips? the idea is to remove the sill cover nicely without affecting the protective paint that covers the sill. I tried pulling and pushing the clips but they are very stronlgy bounded and I also don't know the procedure to unbound them. it's something similar to the protective caps that are present for instance on the headlights wires. those are again a pain in the ass to open, you need some sort of a special tool to open them tidy, otherwise you just crack them away. so to resume, I unscrew those screws and thst's it for the sill to come off? as far as I understand teh only way to pull it to remove it is down. thanks again Zitat: 1 + 1= 10 |

As Compact already said.. they will break... just get new ones... sort of more like when removing the door panels. The plastic clips will break. sit your 5 dollar azz down before I have to make change!! |
