i want some more power on my M54B22, can anyone help me, what i need to do, what gives my car more power. i have 170hp & 210 Nm now. i want more.
i had E36 325i coupe, it was fast 190 hp nice car to
anyone help me
i dont want charger or turbo

i´m sorry to tell you that the only good thing would be to swap an engine but that gonna cost too much if u wanna have realy more power sell your car and buy a 330ci....cause a swap or modifie your engine gonna cost so much that i would say sell that car and put that swapmodifie money on top and u gonn aget a 330ci no problem
Here ist something, this make a bether response from your engine.
Leistung über Ansaugbrücke bei E46 323, 325, 328Then real tuning for so a engine change the cam-shaft´s and the exhaust manifold, and at least, on a rolling-road-tester for a new engine setting with your tuning parts.

if i get a colpmplete sports exhaust how much will i gain in power?
i heard M52B52 if u put a M50B25 intake Manifold in it will gain more power
will it do the same if i get the the M54B 30 intake manifold to my M54B22??
man its all in german and i dont understand nothing from the links, i have search to much on google and i cant find any info about tuning a m54b22

it will gain 3-5HP in maximum.
if you really want more power without changing the machine, you will have to buy a supercharger.

also if it is hard to dicide, you have to think about another car like the 325ci or 330ci. its better to buy a more powerfull car ,then to spend the money in a machine witch won´t be faster than a bigger original one.

you can install the intake manifold from the M54B30 with the injektors from your car and a exhaust manifold (supersprint), new metallcatalysators 200 cpsi with a new elec. engine mapping for this parts you can realist maybe 195-200 hp,additional with schrick (248/264 in/out) camshaft maybe 210-215hp. engine upm max. 7000-7200
I think thats the maximum for open road drive without charger.
My car is near by 195hp without schrick camshaft next time i will install the intake manifold from the m54b30 i hope for 3-5hp more.

If you do not look for an engine conversion to 2,5l/ 3,0l, turbo or charger the possibilities are limited and the power gain is expensive in relation to the other capabilities.
I can recommend the following steps for the 2,5l (M54B25) - also valid with restrictions for the 2,2l (M54B22) - but keep in mind, that the influence might be a bit different and that the expected power gains are less in comparsion to the 2,5l.
1. Inlet manifold from M54B30 (try to translate my conversion description). It is an simply exchange. Only use the inlet manifold and the damper from the M54B30. Injectors, units, and the rest of the parts can be used from your car.
The power gain is up to 6HP for the 2,5l.
2) Muffler - the louder the more power.
3) Sport-camshafts. In my opinion the most sensefull/usefull solution - but also the most expensive. 15 to 20 HP gain in combination with your ECU-modification.
3) optimize your ECU-Software (Chip-Tuning).

sounds nice if i could get 190-200hp, as the 325. i have raced a m52b25 as i heard it should be as fast as a m52m22 from 0-60mph, i dont know if the person m52b25 has change anything in his car, but its was faster than my 2.2, both got 18'' wheels on
