Hello everyone,
We are desperate.
I have a BMW F20 116i EZ 2015 that starts to boil after about 20km. However, only the small cooling circuit boils, ie the large cooling water hose from the engine to the radiator gets hot and rock hard. The water then spurts out of the expansion tank. The cooling water hose from the radiator to the heat management module (thermostat) remains ice cold and pressureless!
The following parts have already been replaced with original BMW parts
- water pump with bellhousing 11 51 7 644 804
- heat management module (thermostat) 11 53 7 644 811
If we remove the servomotor from the new and old heat management module and open the module manually, everything works perfectly!
However, after a while the engine goes into emergency operation, MKL is active and the fan runs at full throttle (protective function)
It must be the module, does anyone have experience with this?
engine control unit?
Thank you
Dennis
Very soon I will fix your issue .
