E39 audible alarm bleep (5er BMW - E39 Forum)

Does anyone know if it's possible to activate the confirmation bleep for arming and disarming the standard alarm on a 98 E39. If so who might do it for me as I understand BMW are not keen to do it probably because of some EU regs.
