ACHTUNG Fake BMW CD43 units on Ebay! (Geplaudere Forum)

Sorry my German is nicht gut (I'm from Der Niederlande) but I would like to warn everyone. Not sure if this was posted before.

On ebay there are a lot of fake BMW CD43 units for sale that are actually MG/Rover units.

They have a BWM M sticker or other sticker on it to hide the Rover logo:

They also have "Compact Disc" written next to the eject button, which real BMW unit's don't.

So be careful!

Technically the units are the same, from what I know, BUT some models have Rover yellow/green-ish lights and not BMW amber/orange.

Remember that in the 90's BMW bought Rover. So it's no suprise that some parts were sold under two brands.

But specially people who are OEM oriented, like me, you only want the real thing.

Item number 370168732442 is what I used for the pic above of the unit with Rover logo. That auction also has a pic of the rear. Looks the same to me:

interesting, it would have been a nice surpise to me if i had bought one and watched under the sticker...

but as long as they are technically identic, its not that big problem.
