325i Us Modell UMrüsten!!! brauche hilfe (3er BMW - E46 Forum)

also ich habe einen 325i bauhjahr 11/2000 in den usa gekauft.
der wagen ist auf den weg hierher, habe heute bei bmw mal so ne ausstattungsliste angefordert, und gelesen das der auch xenon hat, auf den bilder ist weder eine taste für eine leuchtweitenregulierung zu sehen noch vorne die düsen für eine scheinwerferreinigungsanlage.
ich will mich nur schon für die ankuft vorbereiten. meine frage: 1. ist es möglich das xenon serienmässig ohne Scheinwerferreinigugsanlage gelierfert wird und 2. ist die LWR automatisch ? oder wieso gibt es keine taste ( 1..2..3), wenn ich das nachrüsten müsste, was würde auf mich zukommen? um hilfe wäre ich dankbar.

noch kurz eine frage. auf den fotos habe ich auch nur eine große taste, rechts neben den lichtschalter, für das nebellicht gesehen, obwohl der vorne auch nebelscheinwerfer hat, heisst das etwa ich habe keine nebelschlussleuchte oder brennt die schlussleuchte mit dem nebelscheinwerfer zusammen?

Also das du die Höhe der Scheinwerfer nicht mehr manuell Einstellen kannst.
Deswegen auch ALWR (Automatische Leuchtweiten regulierung)

Kann ja sein das en Ammy das Xenon nachgerüstet hat + Lichtschaltzentrum aber keine Reinigungsanlage nachgerüstet hat.

Wenn er Nebelscheinwerfer hat ist die Taste entweder für die Nebler vorne oder für die Nebelschlussleuchte.

Da aber normalerweise jedes Auto zumindest ne Nebelschlussleuchte hat denke ich ma das die Taste für das auch ist. Aber beide zusammen brennen normalerweise nicht !

also ich hab mal gelesen, dass die Ammis keine Nebelschlussleuchte haben. das würde bedeuten, dass die große "Nebeltaste" für die vorderen nebelscheinwerfer ist.

Kann auch gut sein, dass Xenon in den USA ohne SRA erlaubt ist. müsstest du natürlcih für deutschland alles umrüsten, auch die nebelschlussleuchte...

Denke aber das die Kabel und das Zeug alles schon liegt für die Nebelschlussleuchte...

Auf jeden Fall brauchste dann ein anderes Lichtschaltzentrum !

Wie teuer ist der Import von USA hierher?

okay, habe jetzt herausgefunden, das die scheinwerferreinigungsanlage bei bmw 270 euro kostet mit ner einbauanleitung, dazu muss man die blenden noch in wagenfarbe lackieren.
und dieses schaltzentrum müsste etwa für 40 euro bei ebay zu holen sein.
mach mir nur sorgen was ist wenn diese leuchtweitereguelierung nicht vorhanden ist...obwohl einige meinen bei xenon ist die automatisch integriert und deshalb gibt es nicht dieses rad, sieht man auch in der lichtschaltkulisse: Link

Das is normal das dieses Rädchen fehlt ! Die stellt sich automatisch ein !

Schaltzentrum brauchste meines Wissens nach ein neues da die alten die Daten des alten Autos drinhaben wir KM-Stand ! Da würdeste dann en gelben Manipulationspunkt in den Tacho bekommen !

Was so en Import kostet würde mich auch ma interessieren :)

Kann ich dir gerne sagen:

transport vom hafen via container aus miami bis bremerhaven kostet 1050 euro, die spedition macht für dich den ganzen papierkram, alles.
dann holst du das auto in bremen ab, bezahlst einfuhrzoll 10% genau gesagt 10% vom kaufpreis + transport, und auf diese summe gibt es nochmals 19%. also im endeffekt etwa 32% weil die 19% von der neuen summe abgezoge werden.
dazu kommt tüv gutachten und halt änderungen, bei mir glaube ich dann etwa um die 350 euro. das heisst ein auto kommt etwa plus minus 500 euro , zu dem gleichen euro betrag wie in dollar gekauft. ;)

Wie bekommt man dann einen deutschen Brief??

nach dem tüv gutachten geht man zur zulassungstelle, und bekommt den brief

Also rentiert sich aber net sooo wirklich oder ?!?

Vergiss mal das LSZ als Gebrauchtteil, da hier mehrere fahrzeugspezifische Daten (nicht nur km-Stand) gespeichert werden. Dieses Teil kannst du offiziell nur als Neuteil kaufen und direkt auf dein Fahrzeug codieren lassen.

Das sich bei der automatischen Leuchtweitenregulierung kein Drehregler mehr im Cockpit befindet ist absolut normal.

kostet das kodieren noch extra? sorry das ich so dumm vll frage, ich hatte halt nie so einen fall...

Also,bei Xenon wird,wie schon beschrieben,eine Scheinwerferreinigungsanlage benötigt.
Die Leuchtweitenregulierung sollte bei Original BMW Scheinwerfer dabei sein.
Du wirst auch eine Nebelschlußleuchte brauchen.Den die ist in den USA nicht Pflicht,und wird von BMW daher auch nicht verbaut.
Deshalb ist da nur die große Taste.Im normalfall sind es zwei Tasten.
Wenn es ganz dumm läuft,mußt Du auch noch die Lampen nach ECU codieren.
In den USA gibt es auch keine Standlichter.Auch die wirst Du eventuell montieren müssen.

Hi, I'm living in Germany now but used to live in the US and I have imported a BMW E46 325i Convertible from the US as well. Good news: I've made it. Bad news, there is a lot you need to change... I asked the BMW dealer, who called the factory and they wouldn't do it, so I've done it myself. I hope to answer all your questions but the major problems are other than you might imagine.
The Xenon lights are no problem, they have automatic adjustment, no cleaning unit but that was no issue for the Tüv.
Rear fog light: Two issues; first, the rear light cluster needed an additional hole drilled (advise now: buy new), secondly additional wiring is needed as well as an additional switch inside the cabin. I hate non-reversable changes to the car, so I removed the coin-holder under the middle arm rest and mounted a piece of wood with the illuminated switch. Getting the wires to and from the rear light cluster was some pain but still fun.
No standlight up front. This one is tricky, but doable. The main beam units lack the required holes for the standlights, but you can see were the inserts should have been. I bought two original stand (or 'pilot') light holders from BMW and drilled the holes myself. Wire for front pilot lights are to be taken from rear lights, long cable but straight forward, the next cabling is more complex...
Major problem for Tüv were the front blinkers. In the US these are the front running lights (also stand light or pilot light) COMBINED WITH BLINKER INTO ONE BULB WITH ONLY ONE FILAMENT. This is not allowed in the EU. I purchased two bulb holders and pulled an additional wire from the front fender blinker repeater to the front blinker, this both left and right. the original bulbholder, complete with wire and functioning bulb is hiding behind the front bumper. You have to do this as otherwise the overall resistance of blinker is incorrect and the blinker frequency is either much too fast or will not blink at all.
That was all.... seriously, even the light profile from US lights is different (read better for the driver), but all these variations are allowed. I also imported a SAAB 900 Convertible which hardly required changes, but hey, we've got nice winding roads in the Alps here and BMW's are made for these, so good for you for bringing one home,

thanks ronw, nice to hear, that the cleaning for xenon lights wasnt an issue. so to the other points, hope that i wont have to change so many things:D however, i think that they wont be any problems with the "blinkers" and so on, cuz i talk to the seller in florida and also saw the pics from the car, so these wont bring me any problems. basecally i informed myself by some ppl, they said to me that the 2 things, i mentioned before, are necessary for me,( xenon cleaning and "nebelscheinwerfer") as the tüv also proclaimed. Wanted just to say thank you, for your help, and hope that i will manage it.

Not a problem, keep writing in German, I"m Dutch and speak German very well, but my writing is not good enough. I forgot to mention I wanted to simply exchange the light knob cluster into an EU version, but you cannot for many reasons: it has a minor Printed circuit board which contains a microprocessor which communicates with a microprocessor of the tacho/km. They both store the actual km driven and when they do not match upon starting of the engine (read: tampering with actual km driven), the engine wil not start. Of course when you exchange the knob cluster you can have it reprogrammed, but it's a lot of work. Besides as I mentioned the cabling is different and I do not know if the actual connector is identical.
Also, the US can have 'Daylight driving lights' programmed on or -off. I had mine switched off by a 'friendly' dealer, who mentioned he should charge $50 according to BMW list, but it was for free for me....
