I just put an open air filter on my M5.. Itr seems as though my motor is running hotter? And I dont really feel a difference. Is there some kind of enclosure I need to ensure that only cold air gets in, or should I just go back to the old style air filter??? ____________________________

the open filters are only good for sound...they don´t add horsepower.
You should put a vent, pipe...something, that makes the filter breathe cold air all the time. otherwise you´ll have less performance if the weather is really hot.

I think you can get something like that on the internet. Shops from the US got these Parts, or Ebay.com. I made it by myself, it looks the same works the same way but a lot cheaper ____________________________
