Hi,
you have to note that it is not just plate you have to pay for. In Germany you have to pay every two years for a quality check called TÜV you have to pay your insurance and at least the yearly tax for your car.
All this is just possible if you life in germany.
I could not belive that it is more expensive to buy a car in turkey.
Best regards and good luck* ____________________________ ******************************** MethodMan:"Zim zimma, who got the keys to me beamer?" Did he ever find out ???

To can make a car insurace in germany, you need a german adress where the register-owner life . With the TÜV (2 year check/ condition/ emission), is it not so easy, for you, i think, your police make no cry, because they don´t now anything about this stickers with the date on the plate. But whe you come back with th car to germany, you are sure much over the time from the test, this can make problems. Which car you want ? How long you will drive the car ? How big is the price different from the cars german/turkey ? ____________________________ Es wird immer nur eine Marke geben mit Freude am Fahren und das ist BMW.

so what your saying is export it to my home land, UK and put uk plates on it then bring it To Turkey |

I believe it is the same problem. If you export the car you will have to fully explain that you are not registering or keeping the car in the other country. It will cause you problems if you cant. ____________________________ http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/654931

well I do think there is a price difference. I know for a fact if you buy a BMW in the States you will pay about twice as much for it. So I can see why someone would want to get the car from here. ____________________________ http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/654931

Hm ok, but this i just for New cars or ?
For older used cars is that not profitably i think...the cirmcumstances and shipping costs.

It applies for the older cars as well. And then you have to count for parts and stuff like that. ____________________________ http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/654931

hi guys, let me fill you in a bit better,im a british guy living in Turkey, i can import a car here from anywhere, but i will need a £10K depoite to pay the Goverment here in Turkey,
So my options are to get the car from germany, take to uk, put a uk plate on it, as i wont pay any import taxes as it will be more than 6 months old and 2nd hand, then i will be able to keep it in turkey for 6 months at a time out of 12, so 6 in and 6 out,
why dont i just by a bmw here in Turkey, well i want a e46 330 ci sport, in germany for a 2003 will cost around 23,00 euros, in turkey it will cost 50,000 euros, so you may see where im coming from now, its all about the money! |

Wow, is this true ?! Ok, now i understand why you want to buy a car in germany. Is it not possible, to buy a car in germany, and ship it to turkey ? And you make only whith the car-papers in UK a insurance and you get the plates? Or is it necessary shipping the car first to UK ? ____________________________ Es wird immer nur eine Marke geben mit Freude am Fahren und das ist BMW.

car must be in the uk for the plates to be issued, car must be MOT tested too, insurance is not a problem in the uk as car wont be on uk roads etc. |
